Ohhhh where to start?? How does a person sum up 19 years in a few sentences ... After high school -- attended Iowa State University and received my degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. I moved to Oregon immediately after college. Returned to Iowa to be closer to family and started with Wells Fargo in 1997 and have been with the company ever since.
All of my family now resides in Iowa. My parents are retired and still living in Fort Dodge. I make it back to Dodge a couple of times a year.
I have eight nephews so it is fun to hear the latest news on the happenings in their lives.
Had two recent job offerings. One was with Wells Fargo in San Francisco and one job offering for another company in Georgia. Both were very enticing and I even visited Georgia twice and was convinced I was moving but woke up one morning and decided to stay put for the time being.
I really like working for Wells Fargo. I am editor of our company magazine. I write articles, speeches ... basically any and all type of employee communications. Because of my job I have had the chance to visit many, many places outside of Iowa. I also do freelance writing on the side.
Live in Des Moines (Ankeny, to be specific). The growth in Des Moines in the 12 years I have been here is amazing. It is becoming a real city!
Hobbies: Iowa Hawkeyes ... Iowa Hawkeyes ... biking ... writing; softball; reading ... oh, and did I say Iowa Hawkeyes ...
School Story:
When I think of high school, this is what usually comes to mind:
Mad Dog 20/20; Brown's Cafe; Two Sisters convenience store; hanging with Jeff Julius; trips to the Flats; cold football games; how I managed to fail Geometry three times ... and of course: "Dodger Denny"
