To one of my best friends whom I miss very much. I will always remember our great times playing tennis and your smile. You were always so positive and knew no enemies. The world is a sadder place today without you in it.
God Bless!

Such a friendly, happy person. Shannon was always so much fun to be around. She and I had a couple of classes together at Iowa State, and we had such a great time. And she was very helpful with a fake ID that 2 of my friends were able to use! She will be missed.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Shannon's passing and will always remember her kindness and the fun we all had playing tennis. I had spoken to Shannon about six months before her death - we talked about getting the old tennis gang together and I had planned to drive over to see her on my upcoming trip to Colorado - unfortunately my trip out came a little too late. I wish it would have been scheduled sooner. She seemed very happy and still had her sense of humor. I am thankful we had the opportunity to talk and catch up. Thinking of you Shannon. Love, Leah

I just sat down and watched the youtube video of Shannon. I had Erin, my 3 year old daughter, on my lap crying with me over this beautiful dedication. I was shocked when I saw which classmates have died because I guess I think "We're not supposed to go this early. I don't remember if Shannon and I were in any sports/classes together but I do remember that she was funny, nice, and had a kind heart. She will be missed, but never forgotten.

Words can't express the shock to hear of Shannon's homecoming. You never know when the day come when Jesus calls your name. We all have to continue to do the lords work and continue to keep pressing on. Shannon presents will be remembered always.
