SINCLAIR - David Guerrette, 55, died peacefully Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at his home with his family at his side. He was born December 19, 1960, in New Britain, CT, a son of the late Gilman and Theresa (Chamberland) Guerrette, and was a 1979 graduate of Fort Kent Community High School.
David enlisted with the US Army in 1979 and served stateside for several years. He last worked as a trucker for Carmichael Transportation, Greenbush, for almost 10 years, until his illness. Previously he worked as a carpenter for several years with Martin Builders and a driver with R.F. Chamberland, in addition to some time as a forester with State of Maine. He was a member of the American Legion, Cyr-Plourde Post #145, Frenchville, and a member of Sinclair ATV Club since its founding. He prided himself as a "professional putterer" and entertaining his friends and family on the front porch. He enjoyed being outdoors and especially taking rides on ATV and spending time with his dogs.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Page of Sinclair; one son, Jordan Guerrette of Orlando, FL; two step-daughters, Andrea Page of Scarborough and Jessica Pelletier of St. David; three sisters, Nancy Guerrette of Madawaska, Diane Pelletier of Millinocket and Doris Kollar of Ashland, OH; two grandsons, Liam and Jacob Pelletier; and several loved nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, David is predeceased by a brother, Gary Guerrette.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sinclair. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday morning 9-9:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
