MILLINOCKET AND ST. FRANCIS - Jeffrey D. Harvey, 54, died August 22, 2015 at Millinocket Regional

Hospital after a valiant fight.

He was born December 1, 1960 in St. Francis, the son of Merril and Cozy (Jandreau) Harvey. Jeff

graduated from Fort Kent High School, class of 1979, and from Maine Maritime Academy in 1983, with a

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Following graduation, he sailed for Globe Tankers and

married his beautiful bride, Beth Castonguay of Millinocket. He then landed a land job with Newport News

Shipbuilding in Newport News, Virginia and started his family. He came home to his beloved Maine to

work for Bath Iron Works. While on assignment in Spain, Lockheed Martin "snatched him up," and he continued working

with them in New Jersey, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Korea, and, finally, Wisconsin.

Jeff loved to entertain, whether it be singing and playing his guitar, telling stories and jokes, or hosting big family

gatherings, especially his famous crawfish boils. He had an adventurous spirit and a positive and enthusiastic approach

to life that was contagious. Jeff was a faithful member of the Catholic Church and attended mass wherever he was.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Cozy Hannon and her husband Terry of Hermon, his wife of 31 years, Beth (Castonguay)

Harvey; three children, Casey Harvey and children Roman, Sophia, and Lilly of Berlin, New Jersey, Morgan McLaverty

and husband Sean, and sons Gavin and Rowan of Cinnaminson, NJ, and Chelsea Croteau and husband Derek and

sons Landon and Ashton of Wilton, Maine; three brothers, Bruce Harvey of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida, Mark

Harvey of Yorktown, VA, and Jon of Hermon; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, too numerous to list. He

predeceased by his father, Merril, with whom he is now happily reunited.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 A.M. Thursday, August 27 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John's

Catholic Church, 217 York St., Bangor. A reception will be held after in the parish hall. Gifts in memory of Jeff may be

sent to the cancer research organization of one's choice, or use the money and enjoy it on an adventure with your

family. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket. Messages of condolence may be expressed at
