
Stephen A. Meitner, 66, died on June 24, 2016 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Meitner was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Florida.
Steve was the pitcher on the State Championship Little League team from Fort Pierce in 1962. He was a graduate from Dan McCarty High School, Class of 67’. He joined the U.S. Air Force and did a tour of duty in SE Asia. He operated St. Lucie Truck & Equipment for 20 years and was the owner of Ameracat Inc., a boat builder of Fort Pierce, for the last 7 years.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Sue Meitner of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter & son-in-law, Stephanie Meitner Myers & Nathan Myers of Fort Pierce, FL; son & daughter-in-law, Scott & Karen Meitner of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, Michael Meitner of Panama City Beach, FL; sisters, Lyn Palm of Okeechobee, FL and Dina Meitner of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Cole and Ava Myers, Benjamin and Alli Meitner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Evelyn Meitner and sister, Sandy Smith.
Memorial contributions may be made to Indian River Presbyterian Church, 2499 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL 34982.
Services: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 5-8 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A service will be conducted on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Indian River Presbyterian Church, Fort Pierce.
