I have fond memories of you shooting hoops at both practice and games at Dan McCarty and at Stetson U. You were quite a site to see. My other memories of sitting by you in Miss Andrews's trig class make me chuckle. You were too smart for her! Literally! Rest in peace, Friend.

Kenny and I sat almost a whole basketball season (his neice and my daughter) playing on the same team. One day we began talking and realized who the other was. We laughed a lot shared war stories mostly about our families. In our 50s at the time. It was very special He had had a lot of illness at the time. But still the kind gentleman we knew from school.

Ken Showers was truly one of the nicest classmates we had. I will never forget those long, long skinny legs, and the thrill of watching him slam those basketballs through the hoops..not only was he extremely intelligent, but also a witty and a true gentleman.
