Rita Preston, of Carrabelle, born on Oct. 7, 1949, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020 with her husband Mike, daughters Diana and Darlene, and grandchildren Jonny and Casey by her side.

She is preceded in death by her mother Flora Pittillio; brother Richard Jankowski; and son-in-law Jonnathan Riley.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Mike Preston; daughters Darlene Riley and Diana Preston; grandchildren Jonny Riley, Casey Riley, Lisa Whitaker, and Michael Williams; and great-grandson Jon Alan Whitaker.

For many years Rita worked with the Franklin County board of commissioners in different positions. She retired from the property appraiser’s office in 2014. She was a dedicated employee who left an impact on her work family and
