Bud Savage

H.D. "Bud" Savage, age 71, of Rockwall, TX, passed away on September 14, 2020. He was born on February 19, 1949, in Fort Belvoir, VA, to Thomas Dean Savage and Lois Ruth (Fisher) Savage. He was privileged to live in Arlington National Cemetery the first years of his life where his father was the assistant superintendent. He then moved to Fort Pierce, Florida where he resided until 2013. He was a dedicated St Lucie County FL Deputy Sheriff for 33 years attaining the rank of Lieutenant. Upon retirement, he worked for Mercedes Benz where he was allowed to test drive clients cars that the mechanics were not. His love of high-performance cars and speed led him to invest in a racecar. He collected knives, Police Flash Lights, and Jeff Gordon NASCAR memorabilia. He was an avid Bridge player, playing 3 times per week at the Plano Recreation Center. He never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Bud is survived by his loving wife: Rosemary Pauley Savage of Rockwall, TX; sister: Nancy Inola Lipscomb of Gaffney, SC; cousins: Ruth Stewart of El Cajon, CA, David (Belinda) Stewart of Durham, ME, and Jimmy Savage of Cowpens, SC; several nieces and nephews; brother by heart: Pete Sulik; sisters by heart: Kolleen Sulik and Linda Knight; daughters by heart: Rebecca Freeze and April Trammell; son by heart: Terence Trammell; grandchildren by heart: Olivia Trammell, Hayden Trammell, Logan Wells, and Gabriel Wells; and many other relatives and dear friends who dearly loved him and became his family.

Worked with Bud thru School Resource Unit always answered my request for help.

my husband and Bud worked the SO for 30 years he and Elmer were in contact 

regularly after he moved to Texas we knew it was gonna be soon. So sad .

He had a great time at the 50th Reunion.

I new Bud in school and Work at News Tribune for 47 plus years I saw Bud a lot , friends and classmates he was a outstanding  SLCSO one of the really good guys. It was always a joy when Bud was their when I was covering a story Bud made it easier so I could get my Photos fun chatting with him.

So sorry to hear of his passing. We were friends on FB and I felt he was very proud of his country and his service to it. He was not afraid to say what he thought and loved his family. He will be missed. Sending prayers to his family and knowing he is at peace.
