In Memory

Lorraine Hacker (Branscomb Thompson)

Lorraine Elizabeth Hacker Branscomb Thompson, age 67, passed away on September 25th 2016 in Fort Pierce, FL. She was born in New York where she later moved to New Jersey, and then becoming a resident of Saint Lucie County for more than 50 years. Lorraine was a very caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Lorraine loved bowling, painting, being a rancher’s wife, and exploring new things. She loved frogs and turtles. Family was the most important thing to her, but if you went to a party where she was you knew she was there because she was the life of the party, always having her huge glasses with her maracas and her tambourines out and making everyone get up and dance. She never let anyone sit around quiet. And you always left with a smile!

Survivors include her husband, Ernie Thompson; daughter, Stacy Branscomb; son, Robert Branscomb III; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Branscomb, Jr., brother, Martin Hacker, Jr., father, Martin Hacker, Sr., mother, Mary Hacker, and niece, Tammy Adkins.

I remember when you moved in across the street from me.  We were in elementary school and became fast friends.  You, me, George Ann, and Kathy.  Neighborhood fun, sleepovers, birthday parties, skating rink, movies.  So many memories.  We didn't stay close throughout the years but we did touch base a few times. Rest In Peace my friend.        Sharon

Lorraine and I had several classes together and we had lots of fun, I enjoyed being her friend!  Seems like we were always in home room together too!  What a beautiful smile, know she will be missed. Love & prayers for the family.
