Port Orchard.  My favorite place after spending a month there back in 2006.  Stayed right on the water and it was gorgeous watching all the ferry boats and water traffic.  Port Orchard is close to all kinds of neat and qaint towns.  Loved it.

Hi Guy's,

I talked to Jackie this evening and she is getting her "shots" so she can come back to FL.

Looking forward to seeing her and everyone else on Saturday at "April at Archie's".

See Ya, Mike

April at Archie's was a success!  We had a great turnout of classmates. I think there was at least 30-35.  We missed those of you who were not there.  Plans are forthcoming for our 60th birthday party (oh my) and plans for a cruise.  We're truly enjoying our time together and Susan Waters Black has agreed to plan another gathering in September.   Hope to see more of you then.    P.S.  Yes, Mike and Jackie were in attendance.......hopefully, they will submit the rest of the story.....Hugs to all!

Thank you, Linda, for getting this started, but, as I am now 40 years (and 3 exes) wiser, I have learned not to speak for "the Lady".  LOL!

I truly believe everyone had fun Saturday, I know I did.  It was particularly nice to see  White City Elementary School classmates Becky King and Nelson Colon.  Becky is as lovely as ever and Nelson hasn't grown an inch, but he's still quick.  All the ladies looked lovely and Vic looked great with all the weight he has lost since the reunion, not to worry, Tommy Padrick and I found it.

On a personal note, the best event of the weekend was when I returned "the Lady" to Sebastian and met her older sister, Maureen.  We were talking about the time I spent during the summers (circa, 1954-1956) in Florida (OK, I confess, I'm originally from Ohio).  My Grandparents lived next door to the Fitzgerald's on the corner of Wyoming Ave. and 13th St. at that time.

When I described the place and the time, Maureen, said, "THE EDEL'S?", I said yes and she proceeded to tell me about how much she loved my Grandmother and everyone loved the cookies (they were the best) she made for the neighbor kids.   It's nice to know that after 55 years, someone still has fond memories of a family member.

Aside from seeing "old" friends, it was nice to meet Jackie's Mother, sister Maureen, daughter Morgan and granddaughter Rylea, who is the cutest little "ham" I've ever seen.

Best wishes to all, Mike

YES!! Everyone had a great time at Archies, evidenced by the amount of email I received expressing that sentiment. Thanks to EVERYONE who participated. Sorry we missed you, if you couldn't make it. We WILL do this again the first weekend in  September. Thanks again to all of you for making it a memorable occasion.

I had a blast.  I am of course burnt to a crisp.  I think we are a beautiful group.  The men are handsome and the ladies, well lets face it .......... we are something else.  whohooooo.

My date was such a gentleman.   It was nice to see his face light up when my sister spoke of his family.  I remember the cookies.  I hope I can make the next party.  If not I will depend on the pictures.

Thank you all for having this wonderful gathering bringing long lost friends together.  My family loves Michael especially RyLea.  For crying outloud you 2 were doing the cabbage patch dance  in the restaurant hahah.

You left a good impression.  Thank you for such a great time.

PS    It's your turn  hahahah

What do you mean, "My turn?",  I think I covered all the bases; Archie's, great timemeeting with old friends, good food, a wonderful family, old memories, etc.

OK, I forgot to mention that we stopped at Hale's Fruit Stand on US1, but what happens in Wabasso, stays in Wabasso.  Except for that woman who thought we were married, is it that obvious?  Why ruin a good relationship with a ring.  duh!

Yes, Susan, we do applaud you for a great party, as Cheryl says below, but why were you "stalking" Jackie and I afterwards?  Is the "paparattzi" (sp?) going to give you cash for the photos?  Can't wait to see us on TMZ or Entertainment Tonight.  LOL!

I too felt this was a great get together and it was nice that two reunions were able to meet at the same time.   Of course the 69's  group was the best group!! A big Thank You to Susan for getting this together.

Hi everyone. It was great to be able to get together with everyone again. The time went by so fast though, I was not able to really talk to everyone this time around but hopefully the next time. The cruise idea sounds good too, for our birthday celebration, hope it works out for everyone. Hope to see you again in September. (Yes, Jackie, I think we all look pretty darn good too!)

Well Mike, I was tailing you halfway across town because your suspenders were hanging out of the car door. I tried to yell at you as you put the pedal to the metal. Did you hear me holler, "Don't Look Ethel"?!!!!!! Thanks again Robin, for taking and posting all the pictures for all of those who were there and all of those who could not make it. The Class of 69, where ALL the men are good looking, ALL the women are strong and All the children are above average, will meet again in September.

Sherry, I am a gentleman, like I said, what happens in Wabasso, stays in Wabasso.               Hey, like, I couldn't find a more romantic place than Wabasso?  Give it up!

Yeah, Susan, the tabloids were paying you plenty good to watch Jackie and I have a look at our old 'hood. tee-hee!

BREAKING NEWS!  Just got off the phone with Jackie, I'm going to Orlando (yuk!) to see Jackie off tomorrow ("yuk" is for the airport, not Jackie), so Susan,  get your paparatzi moving.  ha ha!

And, Robin, my friend, thanks for posting those pictures, you make us all look good.  Bless you.

OK  I finally woke up.  We had great weather thanks to all of you.  Our trip back was adventurous.  My daughter got a pretty nasty burn on her arm leg and foot on the trip back.  This man was sitting diaginal from us and he had a big ol robe on and it was hanging out in the isle, the stewartess got tangled in it and dropped a whole pot of boiling coffee on my daughter.  There wasn't anything they could do but put cold rags on her for 4 hours.  When we got to the airport they had paramedics there to check her out.  They said it was way past the place where they could help her.  She needed medical treatment when it happened.  She has blisters between her toes and on her foot.   Poor baby.

When we got out of seattle it started to rain and it was slightly sleeting and it was coldddddddddddd.  I am not complaining because I love the cold.  I will keep you all posted on my life's endeavors.  Take care.  I miss all of you

Jackie, you forgot to tell me to "dilute" the vinegar before I put it on my sunburn!  Now,  I smell like a giant dill pickle.  LOL!  Growing up in the sun, you would think that I should know better by now.  (I hope Miss Wilkison is not grading me on this, remember, you failed with a misplaced comma.)

Seriously, I wanted to be the first to wish all the beautiful ladies a HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY.  And for those of you, like Jackie and Jimmie Anne whose Mothers are still in their lives, you are truly blessed.  Have a wonderful Sunday, Mike.

Response to Michaels vinegar dilema.  With your sunburn being red I bet you looked like an easter egg.  hahahah

I am sure I told you.  I would neverrrrrrrrrrrrrr let you do that to yourself.  Just like the vicks  hahahah   you just never listen.
