Take it easy on that thing Deveron...We sold both of our Harleys due to the ignorance  of the people on the roads around here.  And, it gets worse everyday.

Has anyone seen, heard from, heard about, or know how to contact Shirley Beams?   I was just thinking about her and we lost touch a long time ago.  Reminiscing about sneaking into Jaycee field and playing football.  Shirley was GOOD!  I was not!

In response to Barbara's query about Shirley Beams, according to her brother, she is in Tampa area, and is a retired judge.

Merry Christmas all.

It's 1 degree (brrrr) this morning here in Ohio. Five inches of blowing snow. But it will be near 60 degrees to start the New Year.

So sad to pass this along:

JohnMichael Skaggs, 72, of Middletown, RI, died on March 11, 2023, in the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the husband of Diana (Campagna) Skaggs for 45 years.

Born in Fort Pierce, FL, on September 11, 1950, he was the son of the late William and Amanda (Adams) Skaggs.

JohnMichael served our nation in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War Era. Once he and Diana married, they spent much of their life together working side by side with adults who had developmental disabilities and youth who were emotionally disturbed. Once JohnMichael retired, he was able to attend to his other desires – that of history, storytelling and music. So, he became a tour guide with Destination North America and joined the Newport Round Table Writers group which resulted in an anthology titled ‘Walls & Bridges’. His friend Mark Gorman and wife Anne had spoken of having a concert for those in need. This was the beginning of “Singing for Shelter” which JohnMichael was involved with for several years. Having had the opportunity to bring 5 adopted dogs into their life together, JohnMichael spent endless hours with each of his buddies.

JohnMichael is survived by his wife; Diana C. Skaggs, his children; Todd (Clare Robinson) Skaggs, of Epsom Surrey, UK, Travis (Meggin Juraska) Skaggs, of New York, NY, and his grandchildren; Scarlett, Louis, and Nora.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to a charity of your choice.

Another Eagle has taken flight. Larry "Butch" Barber died July 14 in Tallahassee.

Butch was the first person to welcome me to Fort Pierce. He was a good friend who helped make many great memories and stories to tell. Ask me about him and I will be happy to tell a few.

Please go to the web page and let his family know that you remember him.

Was so sorry to read of John Skaggs passing posted in March.  Have such fond memories of working with John in the county clerk's office in the 70s. Could never forget when we went on a double date and were riding in my car to pick up our dates. He wanted to "freshen" his breath and found a bottle of Brut cologne in my glovebox, which he prompty downed! Fresh breath indeed. Then was the time we had such a blast when several of us piled into his VW microbus and headed to the Miami Orange Bowl for a Deep Purple concert. Thought the opening act J. Geils Band was actually even better! Stadium was rockin'. Didn't really need the "brownies" we brought as the whole stadium had a certain pungent odor! Good memories. High flight John, may you soar with the eagles and beyond.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qx3WueJWlb4

I am looking for an attorney to represent me and my dog Taz in a dangerous dog hearing and at the risk of being seen as uncouth I would appreciate a name and phone of an attorney who might be willing to do this.I have been contacting attornys unscessfully and I am getting desperate. I even called the Florida bar and the referal they gave is about 2 hours north of here.I would be forever grateful for this information. I don't do much of this posting message thing as I am a tech dummy.I got Taz almost 5 years ago and a brother to keep him company and I can't even figure out how to put a picture on this site. Time is criical.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve:

Are you looking for an attorney to sue someone else about your dog, or are you looking for an attorney to defend your dog against litigation?  I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. And I hope everything else in your life is going well.

Hey Steve, sorry for your dog troubles.  You probably want someone that deals in administrative law and hearings.  Only person can think of off hand is either Randy Brennan or maybe Fred Kretschmer in Vero Beach.  Don't know for sure. They practice together. 772-778-3777

Could also check with Buck Vocelle in Vero.  772-562-8111

Problem is even if could take case they need time to prepare.

Hope it works out for you and Taz!

I was looking for an attorney to defend my dog as an 18 year old girl said he bit her  and now he is being labled a dangerous dog.  I have found an attorney to represent him. There are plenty of attorneys to sue for a bite but only a few will defend the dog and owner. She is also sueing me but you probably already guessed that.

Thanks,

Steve

Has anyone given any thought concerning a the fact that in 2024 we should be celebrating our 55th class reunion?   Just wondering...

Barbara Cleveland (Sinbine)

We started a small discussion about a reunion on Facebook.   If you aren't already my "friend" on Facebook, please just request to friend "Barbara Cleveland Sinbine" (I'm the only one with that exact name) and I'll at least know how to reach you.

Glad to see that some of you are sending friend requests on Facebook to me!  Now I'll be able to reach even more of you.  I probably should apologize in advance, because I DO post a lot of stuff on there.  But I assure you I will post any information on the upcoming reunion, and questions for you to answer, on there also.

Hi Fellow classmates. I am not sure who all may be on the Facebook "Dan McCarty High School Alumni" group, but if you are not, I wanted you to be aware of a BBQ get-together they are having on Sat. Nov. 11th, starting at 11:00 AM (for ALL DMHS classes). It is at the St. Lucie Village/Old School House, located at 2501 N. Old Dixie Hwy. in Ft. Pierce. There is no cost for this event, but they do ask that you bring a covered dish. You also can make a donation for the meat provided if you prefer when you arrive. We would be very happy to see anyone from our class that could possibly attend. We need to RSVP to them by Oct. 31st (sorry for the late post). If you are on Facebook, you can join their group and RSVP that way, or you can respond to me and I will let them know if you would like to attend. I would just need to know how many are attending and what dish you would like to bring. PLEASE Let me know as soon as you can. Hope to see you there!   Anita & Ford Sloan
