Bachelor's Degree in Dance Performance/Theatre minor from Ball State University (1993)
Toured the United States and Europe in such shows as SESAME STREET LIVE, CRAZY FOR YOU, STEEL PIER and FAME THE MUSICAL.
Moved to NYC in 1998, continuing dance and musical theatre career. Joined THE RADIO CITY ROCKETTES in 1998, and danced in the CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR for 4 seasons ('98,'99, '05 and '06).
Other NY productions include A CHRISTMAS CAROL at Madison Square Garden for 4 seasons, FUNNY GIRL Actors Fund Benefit, and ANYTHING GOES at Lincoln Center. Plus other regional theatre productions, commercials, and a production of CRAZY FOR YOU for PBS GREAT PERFORMANCES.
Along with performing, have taught dance for over 20 years (recently helping to open a Performing Arts School in Seoul, South Korea), choreographed professional AEA regional theatre productions, and became a certified yoga instructor in 2007, specializing in yoga for children.
I have retired from performing as I danced my last show with the Rockettes in Jan of 2007. However, together with my husband, we have realized our dream of opening our own yoga and movement arts studio in April of 2008! VEGA YOGA & MOVEMENT ARTS of Holyoke, MA. www.vegayoga.com
I love living near the beautiful mountains of Western Massachusetts and welcome the change from the big city life in NYC. It has been a wonderful journey to not only recently become a business owner, but in teaching yoga, being able to help the lives of so many people.
