KENNETH FLETCHER CARBAUGH III, 62, of Westminster, Colo., passed away, Sunday, October 29, 2006. He was a partner of Small Business Specialists, LLC. He was the current president of the Denver Skyline Lions Club and had served three previous terms in that capacity. He was editor of the Denver Skyline Lions Club and Lions Club District 6-C newsletters. He currently was serving on the Board of Trustees of the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute Foundation. In 2005, he was named a Lions Club International Foundation Melvin Jones Fellow for dedicated humanitarian service. He was a member of the Colorado Group Insurance Association, National Association of Health Underwriters, Metro Denver Association of Health Underwriters, and Arvada United Methodist Church. He graduated in 1962 from Concordia Lutheran High School, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was an Eagle Scout and served in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1968 in Naval Intelligence, including tours of duty aboard the U.S.S. America and in Viet Nam. Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Barbara (Bobbi); his mother, Ferne Carbaugh; brothers Paul (Mary) Carbaugh and Mark (Annette) Carbaugh of Fort Wayne; sister, Cheryl (Douglas) Weed of Nashua, New Hampshire; five nephews, three great-nieces and two great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth F. Carbaugh, Jr. A memorial service was held on November 4, 2006, at the Arvada United Methodist Church, Arvada, Colo. A memorial service with military honor guard will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2006 at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel, 6600 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46804.
