Steve Rush went to International Business College after Concordia. He received an Accounting degree and was employed by the State of Ohio as a Sales Tax Accountant. Later, he was in the military as a Chaplain's Asistant in VietNam. After his military service he went back to the Sales Tax Accountant position with the State of Ohio
Steve decided he wanted to be a lawyer and enrolled in a pre-law program with the University of Toledo Law School and commuted from his home to Toledo for weekend classes. It was on one of those drives that he was in a fatal accident on November 7, 1971.
I have met with Steve's brother Dave once or twice a year at the family busines located east of Antwerp, Ohio. Dave has talked openly about Steve in the meeting we have had over the past 10 or so years.
