LINDA SORG, 63, of Fort Wayne, died on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, 6:25 p.m., at her residence. She was born on July 6, 1950, in Allen County, Ind. She married Thomas A. Sorg on Oct. 17, 1970, in Fort Wayne. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel and was active in the food bank at the church for three to four years. She retired in 2006 from Phelps Dodge with 37 years of service. Surviving are her husband, Thomas Sorg of Fort Wayne; sons, Roy (Jennifer) Sorg of Hoagland and Ken (Angie) Sorg of New Haven; sisters, Margaret Joan Stearn of South Bend, Ind., Delores (Jack) Tomlinson of New Haven, Nancy (George) Branning and Patricia (Jim) Brandt, both of Fort Wayne; and three granddaughters, Emily Sorg, Erica Sorg and Hannah Sorg. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn O'Connor; and brother, Paul O'Connor. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel, with calling one hour prior. Father William Kummer officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monreoville, with a Rosary service at 4 p.m. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Hessen Cassel.
