The FB page "SSHS Class of '68" will soon be archived unless someone steps forward as an administrator. Any thoughts on this or someone willing to tackle the job?

John -

I'm not sure exactly what being the administrator of the "SSHS Clas of '68" Facebook page entails, but I just logged on and said I would do so.  Thanks for bringing this to our attention.  I hope all is well with you.

Thank you very much Jeanette. I've been staying busy. I'm remodeling our house and continue to teach English thru the library where my wife works. Covid 19 has caused us to cancel two trips to America. Hope you and your family are also safe and doing well! Thanks again!

Hello Fellow Classmates of 68!

I am posting this message for Kenneth Wickliff, 68 Grad.  He lost his wife, Dorthy, last week!  They were married for 49 years.  She was a great and feeling Nurse and a Great Friend to many!  He (Ken)was a Loss Classmate for over 50 plus years because the "e" was dropped out of his last name.  ( That is another story!)

Please, keep him, family and friends in your daily prayers and mayber any cards!!

My first wife and I got them together well over 50 years ago.

His friend and fellow Classmate of 68!

Tony Moran, Team68

P/S

I can get the cards to him, ok1

It saddens my heart to hear of Dot's passing. I know his pain is great. But he will be comforted. My heart goes out to him to hold him in my heart. Blessings be his. Hang in there Kenny. "Stapleton"

My best friend Tim Horn died last year and I forgot about this site and didn't post my thoughts here./ Tim and I were best friends since we were 4 years old. Grew up as neighbors, and it proved to be a lifelong friendship. I was the "Best Man" at his first wedding. I cried the day I learned of his death. He was more like a brother than a friend. I loved his family, it felt as close as my own family. His sister Barb and I are still close. It is so sad to see my dear old friends pass when I am in great health., I not sure why genetics or lifestyle I suppose.

I remember Ralston Craig...he was tall, shy and very handsome.  I spoke with his little sister recently.  Please help her with this.  She was so young when he died.  If anyone has any info about him, and the accident...she would really appreciate hearing from you.  Kathy Azar

I believe I attended Irwin school with Kathy. I last saw her at the 20 year reunion. She was working as a dialysis nurse. I remember her as a very nice person.

Congratulations Pat and Gary! 50 years! What a great run! Hope both of you are doing well. Through many of life's peaks and valleys, you achieved a half a century. Congratualtions!

Gary, so Pat put up with you for 50 years? Just Kiddingsmiley. I enjoyed our friendship in the many activities we encountered.

I also smiled after seeing names from my past on the message forum. I enjoyed developing the friendships with everyone during my "Junior High" days.

To many more years, Pat and Gary!!!

I was sad to hear the Judy Humbarger passed away this morning.

One of my earliest memories is Judy and me at our first swimming lesson when we were 5 years old.  The instructor had us sit around a big tub of water at the side of the pool and stick our faces in the water.  10 years later, I stood at her starting block at the Senior US Open Championships and cheered as she won the Woman’s 200 meter backstroke and set a new American record.

I also am saddened to hear Judy Humbarger passed away.

Judy was a homeroom classmate during high school.
I also enjoyed getting to know her. Judy was a friend.

I recall: Judy was an elite swim competitor and her swimming achievements reflected her competitiveness.
Producing a new American record in the 200 meter backstroke was such an awesome display of how strong Judy was mentally and physically at 15.
It was an honor being a homeroom class mate of Judy.

I remember Judy sharing with me her daily swim/school routines. Very little personal time.
it took a heck of a commitment to maintain the rigorous day to day grind Judy had to sustain. (Daily swimming-school-weekend competitions)

In fact, I was looking forward to seeing her in the 1968 Olympics.

After talking to her a few years ago on the phone, I asked why she didn't pursue 68 Olympics. She expressed that she did not have her swim coach she's had anymore, to make it happen in 1968.
Judy was sad, but was also relieved.

I'm saddened for her passing.

Judy's in good hands.
