There's always a sadness when a HS class member, during my high school class years, passes away.
It's a reminder that were not here permanently on earth. We have a lifetime to live, but the length for each life may vary.
Though we didn't interact too many times in high school, he was a friend. We did hang around together, when the timing permitted it. There was a mutual respect for one another.
I've learned that you can only "eat an elephant" one bite at a time. With That being said: As I recall, John pursued his life one step at a time; Taking each of life's challenges, one step at a time.
I wish God's blessings on John's family, peace and tranquility, as they continue their life's endeavors.
John was a funny guy, we spent a lot of time together, and we were both in DEK a drunken high school frat that was of no redeeming value. We spent a wild 10 days in Daytona Beach in the Spring of 69, then I lost track of him in the 70s. Years later, we hooked up on Facebook, and found he was living in Thailand, we had fun lampooning trumplodytes. Had a great time together at our 50th. With so many of my friends from the 60s dying off, it kind of makes one think of their own mortality. I smoked the last Thai stick that you gave me, which I was saving for such an occasion. Thanks for the memories.
