 STEVEN H. LOOMIS, 66, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on March 8, 1949 in Fort Wayne. Steve served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era and he was a longtime VA Hospital volunteer. Steve is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughters, Carrie (Jim) Hyde and Beth (Tony) Powers; son, Josh (Jenna) Loomis; sister, Pam (Jim) Young; brother, Mike (Karen) Loomis; stepbrother, Rod (Jo) Butler; stepsister, Vickie Peake; stepchildren, Marijane, Ryan, Patrick, and Kaitlynn White; and grandchildren, Hannah, Isaac, Cole, Hadley, Max, Jackson, Julia, and Jeorgia. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda; and granddaughter, Josie. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive, Fort Wayne. Father Robert D'Souza officiating. Viewing and visitation also from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at Midwest Funeral Home & Cremation Society, 4602 Newaygo Road, Fort Wayne.
