Weikart, Neil A. age 65, of Edina, passed away surrounded by his family on Dec. 16, 2015. Preceded in death by parents, Maurice and Ruth Mary; brother, William. Survived by loving wife of 34 years, Barbara; daughter, Katie (Jake) Fuerstneau of Mpls; son, Drew of Chicago; grandchildren, Henry and Teddy; sister, Liz (Gary) Sundem of Seattle, WA; and many other family and friends. Neil received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 1972 and his JD in 1975, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Neil practiced law for 38 years at Fredrikson & Byron, PA where he also served on the Board of Directors. Early in his career he was an adjunct Professor at the University of MN. Neil was an active member of the Edina community serving on the Board of A Better Chance Foundation and as President of the Edina Basketball Association. He was a smart, loyal and fun-loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who loved golf, skiing, biking, Elvis and the Beach Boys.
