After graduation I went to nursing school (didn't finish)and worked as a secretary for a securities agent downtown Fort Worth where I met my husband,(this would be why I didn't finish nursing school). We will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in May. After my children were born I quit work and totally became a Mom and I've loved every minute of it! I've kept busy with PTA, Ladies' Auxiliary, Football & Cheerleading Booster Clubs, etc....
My husband retired from GMAC in 2003 and began working for another financial company the next day. We also have a ranch in Decatur (Rocky Ridge Ranch), where we spend lots of weekends.
My son is either a sophomore or junior (we're not exactly sure) at Tech. He should've already graduated but, keeps changing his major. Currently it's Broadcast Journalism. My daughter is a sophomore at TCU majoring in Fashion Merchandising and in Chi Omega sorority.
It took some adjusting to life without kids at home but after the initial shock we're really enjoying it. We spend almost every weekend going out with friends and travel lots with them too. I'm also happy that I've been able to stay in touch with my lifelong friends from Carter (some since Oakhurst). Pam, Lori, Glenda, Rhonda, Susie and Dorrian and I try to have dinner several times a year and I love that even more! I'm looking so forward to seeing everyone at Sammies and Texas Star.
