After H.S. in the summer of 1999, I drank the burnt orange Kool-Aid that summer at UT and hadn't looked back. I got involved (some say overinvolved at UT.. ask Jonetta) and had a great time. Earned a Bachelors in Sociology in 2003. Left Texas in 2004 and lived in Oxford (near Cincinnati) for 2 years and came back in 2006 to Austin. I just finished my Masters from TEXAS in Higher Education Administration in 2008.

I recruit for UT in high schools in West and East Texas, travel around the state for college fairs and help TEXAS Football on some home game weekends watching to make sure NCAA violations are not broken when prospective football players visit. (aka, field house access, sideline access during pre game practices and 50 yd seats 4 rows from the front). I love my job; its different everyday, and keeps me on my toes and in front of people.

August 2010 - Moved to Longview for a promotion to run the brand new UT Austin - East Texas Admissions Center. I manage the center and I am in charge of the recruitment efforts for this part of the state for UT Austin. Hopefully by 2012, I will be back in Austin to start on my doctorate in either Higher Ed Administration or Education Policy and making some big changes in Austin.
