Curtis J. Calabrese, 42 was avid outdoorsman, youth coach
FRAMINGHAM- Curtis J. Calabrese, 42, a resident of Old Connecticut Path for 13 years, and formerly pf Hamilton Street and Cherry Street, died Wednesday, September 5, 1990, at Framingham Union Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Framingham, he was the son of James and Sarah (Gennario) Calabrese and was the husband of Kimberly J. (Ludwick) Calabrese.
He was a graduate of Framingham North High School with the Class of 1966 and had worked in the lumber and building supply business for many years. Most recently he was employed as a yard foreman for the National Lumber in Newton and had formerly worked for State Lumber in Saxonville.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting and skiing. For more than 10 years he was active in the Massachusetts Beach Buggy Association and had served as vice president of the organization. Through M.B.B.A. he was a strong advocate for beach access and conservation. He was a former coach in the Framingham Youth Hockey Program.
In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves a son. Michael H. Calabrese; a daughter, Lori M. Calabrese, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 11 at 9 A.M. at
St. Tarcisius Church, Waverly Street (Route 135).
Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. in the Boyle Brothers Funeral Home. 173 Union Avenue. At the family’s request, flowers will be omitted,

Curtis Calabrese, the son of James and Sarah Gennario Calabrese was born in Framingham on Sunday, June 20, 1948.
He was a member of the Framingham North High School Class of 1966 where he played on the football team. Curt was known for his friendliness.
