Richard Monahan, age 32, passed away on November 10, 1979, in Twin Mountain, New Hampshire near his father’s birthplace in Whitefield, NH. It has been reported he died as a result of illness due to exposure to Agent Orange during his time as a soldier in Vietnam.

            Son of Anthony Sheldon Monahan and Frances Jeanne Bonnell Monahan Fanning, Richard was born on December 15, 1947, in Framingham.

             A graduate of Framingham North High School Class of 1966, he was active in The Communications Club, Drama Club, as a Library Aide and as a member of the Senior Play.

            Richard enlisted in the military on May 10, 1967. During his service he was 

on tour in Vietnam. 

He married Lorraine Frances Fahey in Twin Mountains, New Hampshire 

on November 29, 1969.

            According to records, Richard was honorably discharged on June 3, 1971.

            Besides his parents and wife, Richard is survived by his brothers Paul, Michael, 

Stephen Monahan, Robert Fanning and a sister Karen (Ayers) and 

Step-father Robert Fanning. (There is no record on Ancestry of children).

There is no record available of his interment.
