Graduated from Virginia Tech in 1977 and moved to Richmond, VA. Worked on staff for 2 governors, Godwin and Dalton which was really fun but not so good when the next Governor got elected since it is considered a political appointment. I decided it was time to get a job in the real world. I met my husband, Dave, while working for Governor Dalton and in 1982 we were married. We then moved to Atlanta, GA and lived there for a year and half before moving back to the Tidewater area. In 1989, we had our son, Tyler. I worked in Finance with a local Savings and Loan and later left to get into the brokerage business. The firm I joined has changed names 3 times but the people are still the same. We are now UBS Financial Services. My son is a Junior at Longwood University now and my husband and I are enjoying our time together. It is fun to be able to get up and go on the spur of the moment to do things. We have a harley and go riding quite a bit on day trips and longer.
