School Story:
Graduated from Virginia State University in 1980. Started working on a Masters in History while working in the Petersburg School System as a long term substitute teacher. Landed my first full-time professional job as a Public Fire Safety Educator with the Petersburg Fire Department. In 1985, joined the Army as a Private First Class. Within the year graduated from officer candidate a hool receiving a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. For 26 years, had assignments all over the world to include Germany, Australia, Japan, Kuwait, Texas, Georgia, and Northern Va. Retired from the Army in 2011. Since retiring from the Army, worked in the federal government in four differen logistics jobs before landing in my present job at the Pentagon as Director, Pentagon Services Division in 2015. Acquired two Masters along the way: Human Services and Strategic Studies. Plan to retire within the next couple of years...find my job to be fun and still exciting.
