I did not take school to serious. I did just enough to get by . Having fun was a bigger priority. I remember feeling the sting from Earl Stoubal's baseball bat paddle quite often. He would always have this smerky smile when he paddled you. You knew he took delight in it.
It sure made good little boys out of us. Our society would be a lot less rotten if our teachers and parents used the paddle more today.
