Stanley Crane

Stanley Vincent Crane, USMC Retired GySgt, age 72 of Stafford, Virginia, was called home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Stanley was the first child born on July 14, 1952 in Freeport, Texas to Walter Stanley Crane Jr. and Lillie Bell Crane. He attended Lanier Elementary School and Freeport Junior High, and graduated from Brazosport High School in 1970. He attended Texas A&I University-Kingsville from 1970-1972 before he joined the Marine Corps and proudly served his country for 20 years.

He met his wife, Tsuneko “Junko” Crane, while in Okinawa, Japan and they married in 1975. Junko and Stanley raised two daughters, Julie and Chelsea. Stanley’s military service also gave him the opportunity to explore the world through band tours in Australia, Japan, Spain, and South Korea. After retiring from the Marine Corps, he and his family settled in Stafford, Virginia, and he began his career in the U.S. Postal Service where he worked for 20 years. Stanley was a talented singer, trumpet player, band conductor, loving father, Papa, and friend.

Stanley leaves behind to carry on his legacy, his wife, Tsuneko Crane; his two daughters, Julie Moss (Eddie) and Chelsea Majors (Matt); his grandchildren, Kaili Moss, Skye Moss, and EJ Moss; his brother, Ronnie Crane (Debbie) and Stanley’s nieces and nephews: Rhonda Crane, Tereka Crane, Ronnie Crane Jr., Roderick Crane, Robert Rich, and Stephanie Crane. Stanley is also survived by his aunts, Naomi Strambler, Julia Mae Johnson, and Marsha Burton; and many more relatives in Texas, California, and Okinawa. yes I too remember Stanley from band where we were in competition, in a quartet and won 1st 🥇 place  !  he was a great trumpet 🎺 player and a good friend back in our school days  !  and as in life he turned out to be a find Military man, a husband, a father, and he made an impression on all he met  !   and he left a legacy that only a few have achieved in life - what a blessed soul  🙏🏻  !  see you on the other side my friend  !  God bless  -
