I am saddened that Donny is gone. He left us too soon. In junior high, he took me to my first rodeo and he fed me a lot of tunafish sandwiches. Who could ask for more.

I received information from Donna Hayes Clark on Donnie, or Donny, [depending on which entry in our annual you want to go by], on his death date.

I was told at the reunion by Jana McDougal Rooke, that Donnie,  was adopted, and his last name was Sullivan.

My resource for such research is findagrave.com, and tried several variations of his name, and still came up empty.

He passed on October 25, 2001

So, after nearly 20 years, we have a date to add to his date of death!

Hi, Steve. When I can carve out the time, I research on ancestry.com, findagrave.com, etc etc. See below link on where Byron Don Hickey/Sullivan is buried. Online his DOB shows 2 Oct 1951, DOD 25 Oct 2001. Was married to a woman by same name as accompanying grave marker:

Reading Yvonne's not about Donnie brought out a sweet thread of memory from the 6th grade. We had a group of "couples": me and Randy, Georgeanna and Dick Coker, and BJ and Donnie. There were actually 2 or 3 more couples in the group, but their names escape me. We "dated" as a group meeting at  the skating rink, Lake Theater, sports events. Randy and I were together for 6 months...and then the group and the couples split up. Such a sweet time. Sad to hear of Donnie's passing so long ago.
