Ted S. Howell

Ted S. Howell, 52, cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer at his home in Glendale, Arizona, surrounded by family.  He cared deeply for his wife and children who are thankful for all the years the Lord blessed them with the best husband and father they could have never asked mor of most especially the love he gave them.  Ted worked at Dow Chemical for 17 years before leaving to work for the Knights of Columbus in 1988.  He then move to Arizona in 1999 to become the General Agent for the state.  He was a very giving and compassionate man that will be missed by so many who had come to know him in his many years working for the Knights of Columbus as a General Agent in Texas and as a field director for 26 states throughout the United States and 4 provinces of Canada before moving to Arizona.  He largely enjoyed his work because he was able to teach many people how to make a better life for themselves by helping others at the same time.  He personally started 27 new councils and recruited over 125 new members for the Knights of Columbus since he joind in  1983 as Charter Grand Knight of the council he started in Brazoria, Texas.

Ted is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Susie; son, Isaac; two daughters, Nicole and Susan; three trandsons, Matthew, Nathaniel and Nicholas.  He is also survived by his stepfather, Yndalecio Amador; brother, Joe J. Howell & wife Barbara; stepsister America Garcia & husband Freddy; Aunt Hipolita Guajardo; Beloved in-laws, Johnny Garcia & wife Gregoria, Willie Garcia & wife Arcellia; Sister-in-laws, Yolanda Fuentes, Elizabeth Gonzalez * husband, Salvador, Diana Garcia, Rosie Iracheta & husband, Antonio; and many other loving  aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Isaac G. Howell; mother Nicolaza Amador and mother-in-law, Maria C. Garcia.  He will live in our hearts and memories forever.

A wake will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday February 5, 2004, at Stroud Funeral HOme in Clute, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday February 6, 2004 at St. Jerome;s Catholic Church in Clute, Texas.
