Deborah Ann (Debbie Little) Dodd

Deborah Ann (Debbie Little) Dodd of Lake Jackson went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 3, 2005.  She was born on February 24, 1952, and raised in Freeport, Texas by Gerald Daniel Little and Doris Faye Heard Little.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 24 years, Ravan Dodd whom she loved deeply.  She was a loving mother of three sons, Corey Dodd and wife, Lisa of Freeport, Jody Dodd of Houston, and Derek Dodd of Lake Jackson.  She is also survived by her brother Gerald Daniel Little Jr. and wife Marion and their daughters, Jennifer and Jessica Little all of Friendswood; as well as grandnieces, Ashley Clark of Corpus Christim Shanna Clark and daughter Shelby of Freeport, aunt, Evelyn Gene Collins; and cousins Barbie, Mona and Gena Rhodes; David Collins and wife, Vivkie and Heath Collins of Lake Jackson; other family members that were special to Debbie include sister-in-law Rose Smart and her son, Michael Smart and wife, Shelley, all of Houston; brother-in-law, Gaylen Dodd and wife, Phyllis, of Killeen; many nieces and nephews all of Lake Jackson.

Debbie was a proud and faithful member of Brazosport Baptist Temple where she was treated with great warmth and kindness.  Their goodness and prayers helped sustain her faith and hope through much of her illness.  Any memorial donations may be made in her name to Brazosport Baptist Temple, 1203 CR 205, Angleton, Texas  77515.

Debbie worked at the Freeport Post Office for 32 years.  Her many wonderful friends made her illness so much easier to bear.  She offers heartfelt gratitude to the "Four Horsemen".

She graduated from Brazosport High School in 1970 and briefly attended Brazosport College.  As a teenager she loved a religious organization called "Rainbow Girls" and "Candystriping" at the hospital.  Debbie remained strong friends and love to share her life with a group of girls from juniorhigh who got together regularly celebrate the joy of life.

Family willl receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Lakewood Chapel.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2005 at First Baptist Church of Clute with Pastor Alan Stovall officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Freeport Post Office and special friends, Barbie Rhodes, Donna Clark, Shelley McCoy, Sharon McNabb, Sherry Jackson and Donna Stankovich.
