Everyone that knew Rosemary loved her & she loved life, growing plants & flowers, traveling & helping others. She was very involved in her church, serving on different committees & sponsoring people wanting to convert to Catholism. The church paid her the greatest tribute after her death. There were so many donations made in her name, they bought a silver chalice from Rome, named it the Rosemary Martin Chalice & only use it on holy days. She was always striving to learn & grow, be it her education, career or spirituality.
It was a thrill when she took me to the beach or lunch when she got her driver's license. She later convinced me to move to Houston & shared her apartment with me. Rosemary was more than a sister, she was one of my best friends. Someone to go to for advice, confide in or just hang out with. She left us too soon & is still greatly missed.

Rosemary Martin was a great friend growing up. As ayoung kid, John Walker and myself used to mow the Martin's yard for about $4. This was a good price back then for mowing, but if the Martin's only knew, we would have mowed their yard for free, just to see their four
beautiful daughters!
We ran across Rosemary in the late 1970's when I moved to Houston. Rosemary at the time was the Controller for the Houston Oilers. Her death in the late 1970's was a shocker for me, as we had just visited with Rosemary, her parents and one of her sisters in Houston.

From the first time I met Rosemary was in the 8th grade classes at LJJH when we moved to Lake Jackson. She was so friendly, happy with a smile on her face and a crazy little giggle. Always easy to talk to and really appreciated her friendship from the first day we met. Still remember the night we both cooked apple pies ar her house with her sisters and the days in band.
