Michael Shelby Tavenner

Michael Shelby Tavenner, 53, of Lake Jackson went home to meet his Savior, Monday, April 24, 2006.  He was born December 27, 1952, in Hollandale, Mississippi.

Michael has been an area resident since 1964.  He graduated from Brazosport High School in 1971.  Anyone who knew him loved him, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his sons, Machael and Mitch Tavenner; their mother Rhonda Tavenner; mother Doris Tavenner Heddleston and husband, Frank; brother and best friend, Charles Lynn Tavenner; sister, Cathy Kirkpatrick and her husband, Kevin; and many other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Charles Tavenner.

Funeral services will be held at  10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Stroud Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Thornton officiating.  Interment will be in Restwood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 26, 2006, from 6:00 p.m. til 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ricky "Q" Quarles, Mike Holiman, Mike Caldwell, Gary "Bevo" Gaitlin, Bob Cobb and Grady Dansby.
