Coach Cuba was 46 years old when he passed away.
He is survived by his Wife: Sandra, Son Jim, Daughter Jana, Mother: Pauline Brothers: Gene, George; Sisters: Marie Freiling, Betty Mae Guthrie, Sue Eubanks, Linda Worley
Coach Cuba was our great Junior Varsity Coach in 1969. Our team was either 9/1 or 8/2 toooo far back to remember. He had a wicked smile that you couldn't forget!!!

Randy (Wrangler) White
We followed Coach Cuba's career which I think took him to a Houston high school head coaching job. Coach Cuba doubled up as our basketball coach I think for our sophmore year. After away games we would always have Tommy Bay start singing a song about Sugar Bear, and as you would expect, we ran and ran after practice the very next day.
