I have gone by Dave (David) instead of "Mike" for many, many years.
I retired from sales and marketing in 2008. Lynn is an executive in the Western Divisional office of Rite Aid Corp.(a national drug chain). I spend a lot of my time woodworking, sailing, baking bread and volunteering. One of my pet projects is helping the Maritime Museum build a full size replica of the "San Salvador", the ship of Juan Cabrillo, the first European to set foot in what is now San Diego.
Our little town is right on the edge of San Diego and we're just minutes away from the beach and the mountains, both of which we shamelessly enjoy to the fullest extent.
Lynn and I enjoy drag racing and attend both Pomona and Vegas. I got my Super Comp license at Pomona about two years ago and love to drive.
We enjoy cruising and have taken a number of them. It's so easy with a cruiseport only a few miles away. Have to watch the food though, it's too good.
Last fall we made a major driving trip back east to see all the kids; 5,571 miles! Worth it but never again. Next time we'll fly.
