MICHELE PINIZZOTTO, 1947 ~ 2014
Date Of Birth: April-2-1947
Date Deceased: February-4-2014
Age at Death: 66
Residence: Lee Vining, CA
Survived By: Brother Michael and two nephews
Michele was my best friend from fourth grade and all through high school, and there are so many great memories for me. She was a 1965 graduate of Fullerton Union High School. In 1966 she founded an all-girl rock n’roll band; first the Lady Birds, then Daisy Chain, and finally Birtha, signing a recording contract with ABC-Dunhll Records. The band released two international albums and four singles. Birtha toured the U.S., Europe, and parts of Canada; managed by her brother Michael. Birtha had quite a following! (Birtharocks.com) Shell stayed true to her music for many years, teaching singing, guitar and piano at her recording studio in the San Fernando Valley. She also directed a children’s choir in Canoga Park, CA. Friends in the business say she had so much talent as a songwriter, vocalist, and lead guitar player. She was a very powerful woman, had loads of determination, was super creative and very generous, and will be missed by many who knew her.
