ROSS F. DuCHENE, 1948 ~ 2004

Ross F. DuChene passed away May 17, 2004, of complications of cardiovascular disease. He was 56 years old. Ross was a retired USAF Staff Sergeant who served at Castle AFB, CA. Elmendorf and Eielson AFBs in Alaska and finished his career as head of the Cadet Mess Hall at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He later worked as a tool and die set-up technician for Western Forge, also in Colorado Springs. He is survived by his wife, Lorie DuChene of Colorado Springs, one child, Lynette DuChene who resides in Oregon, and his siblings Harvey DuChene (FUHS 1961) of Lake City, Colorado, Denise (DuChene) Spa (FUHS 1967) of Anaheim, CA, and Paul DuChene of Fullerton CA. Ross was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and after retiring from the Air Force, lived the Harley lifestyle to the max.
