Bruce Nelson was one of a kind, hyper-energetic, inquisitive, confronting, annoying, yet sensitive and thoughtful when not putting up that front. Won an award for his PhD dissertation, worked for several computer firms, was CTO of Cisco Systems when he died. Since he loved rock and mountain climbing we all thought he would die that way, but he didn't.
