I was lucky enough to marry my "high school sweetheart" in 1992. Sherri and I were blessed with a daughter in 1998; luckily she is the spitting image of her mother.
I joined the Fuquay-Varina Fire Department in 1990 as a volunteer firefighter and fell in love with it. I became a career firefighter in 1993 with the same department and have been there ever since. Currently I am the Assistant Fire Chief which I was promoted to in 2002. There aren't too many people that can say that they look forward to going to work everyday; but I do!
Sherri is a 2nd grade teacher at Holly Grove Elementary School in Holly Springs and loves being close to home. Our "free" time is spent balancing between softball (Ashton), basketball (Ashton), Church, weekly training sessions at the fire station (Jim), and the never ending after school meetings Sherri must attend.
God has blessed me with a good life and a great family!!

I will never forget the night we set out to find the biggest pumpkin in Town. It was sometime around Halloween our Senior year and several of us piled into Paul Ransdell's "Vette" and began our journey. I remember Fitzhugh, Seth, Donnie, A.J. and several others finding a huge pumpkin on the porch of a house on Holland Rd. Paul stopped the car on Powell Dr. and we got out to go retrieve the "prize". Someone had just grabbed the pumpkin and stepped off the porch when Paul yelled "COPS!!" (it was just a passing car) I turned to run and ran into a tree (I think I blacked out). Luckily, the pumpkin remained in pristine condition and we were able to get back to Paul's car. That was the biggest pumpkin I had ever seen. It nearly took up the entire front portion of Paul's very "roomy" Chevette. Just imagine that pumpkin and all of us piled into that car. I laughed so hard that night; what a great night and I will never forget it! Some of the guys made a point to remember this event in the notes under their picture in our Senior Yearbooks.
