I farmed the family farm until 1980. Then I worked at the Walsh store in Galena for 10 years before opening up my own sporting goods store in down town Galena. I closed Daves Sport of Sorts in 2000 and went to work for Steve's Ace Hdwe in Dubuque, Ia. as manager of the JFK store. I am now at The Workshop in Galena, where I am a assistant supervisor of the production floor.
