After graduating from GHS I proceeded to Beloit College to pursue a B.A. in history and archaeology. During this time and after, my pursuit of archaeology has allowed me the chance to work throughout the Midwest and South as well as travel to Western Europe, Russia, Latin America and Southeast Asia. Eventually I returned to Illinois to pursue graduate studies in archaeology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. There I met my wife Gina, received an M.A. degree, and am now writing my doctorate thesis concerning archaeological field and preservation work conducted near Galena. Currently I am working for the University of Illinois supervising an office tasked with conducting all archaeological work needed by the Department of Transportation in northern Illinois. Gina and I are also adjusting to being new parents. This past February we welcomed a wonderful daughter, Kiara, into our family
