Hello Everyone:

Bonnie was the first Friend I made when I came to Garland High. We were in home room together. She was smart, strong, and funny. She introduced me to Janice so I’d have a friend when she got to leave school early because she had more than enough credits to graduate.  We kept in close touch until I moved to El Paso and later to San Antonio.  She never had children and she and her husband decided not to adopt but I know she was an adored aunt to her nieces and nephews.  She was a diplomat when I was a hothead because Janice was stubborn and because Janice was stubborn she had the ability to still love us both as friends without playing favorites. She was brave and fearless she didn’t let anyone tell her that she was white and shouldn’t have me a black girl as her friend. She was and always will be remembered as a wonderful and cherished friend. God Bless You , I love you dear friend. May you R.I.P.

 Mary
