In Memory

Bobby Runyon

July 16, 2014

Bobby's daughter, Samantha called me early this morning to tell me her Dad passed away during the night.  The one thing she told me that still stands out is that he was so excited about getting to come to Dallas this coming Saturday to have lunch with many of our classmates.  Kathy Harrison Graham and I visited with Bobby in May.  David and Vickie Strom Chapman also had a good visit with him.  I think there were many more who went to Mt. Pleasant to visit with Bobby once we finally "found" him again!!  I am so grateful to Sam for reaching out to me to give us all of Bobby's contact information.  As sad as this is, my happy thought is that Bobby left this world KNOWING he was loved by many!  Rest in Peace, my friend . . . you will be missed by so many.

Always a pleasure talking to Bobby. I wish I would have gotten to know him better. I tried to be friends with all my classmates but the size of our class spread visiting time real thin. RIP Bobby until the great reunion.

I've always liked Bobby and enjoyed his company. First met him around the seventh grade. He lived in the neighborhood so we ran into each other often. Always pleasant to be around  he will be missed!

I always appreciate Bobby's smile; I didn't know him well but still recall his presence as he walked down the halls of GHS....he spread such joy!  Sara Etgen-Baker

Very sad to hear of Bobby's passing.  He was a quiet and humble person but very personable and fun to be around.  While it has been way too long since we last talked I still considered Bobby a friend.  I pray God's blessings and peace for his family and friends.

I played Pony League baseball with Bobby. He was the ultimate team player - always upbeat with a smile on his face. RIP Bobby.
