Jack and I started elementary school together at Central Elementary. He was always so creative and smart in class. We never kept in touch but I have fond memories of him early on. Rest in Peace Jack

So Sorry to hear about Jack, we both grew up in close neighborhoods as well as James Sharp, the two of them with Mike Merritt had the Grim Reapers at Bussey Junior High. We all went to Central, Bussey and GHS. We all had a lot of fun together. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Being in a rival garage band back in the junior high school days, I've known Jack (and fellow drummer James Sharp, and Mike Merritt) ever since those early times.  Fortunately, I got to get together with Jack in the mid-80s for some impromptu jam sessions, but lost touch with him when he moved to the Phillippines.  Jack was one of the nicest, and most talented, individuals I had the pleasure of knowing.  Prayers for his wife and family.

Man I can still remember those days at Bussey Jr High hanging out with Jack and Mike and James! I was a huge Grim Reapers wannabe. They were the coolest! And when Jack got that huge silver Metro van to haul the band's equipment in, well the cool factor went through the roof. Jack was so talented and yet so humble and personable you just couldn't help liking him. Lost touch after GHS but I'm guessing he'd have been a friend. The world has lost a good guy. Hope you're rocking in heaven Jack!

I did not know Jack much if at all...but had the sense he was creative, smart, and probably an adventurous spirit. I am always saddened every time I read of one of our dear Classmates from the "Best Times of our Lives" transitions from this life to the next!  Harry Norris
