I remember Dennis as a short little sweet guy.  He always had a smile on his face!

Dennis and I were friends not only at GHS, but also at First Baptist Church.  We pretty much grew up together.

Dennis, "Dukus-Padukus" as I nicknamed him, was a Certified Vocational Counselor.  He worked for several agencies over the years, but he was working as a Vocational Case Manager in Houston when he died.  He was killed in an automobile accident in Houston on March 16, 1999.

I was able to go to his funeral there in Garland.  His wife said that although he had registered as an organ donor, due to the severity of his injuries, his organs could not be harvested.  It was just like him to be a donor.  He was quiet, always willing to listen to me, and he was a great friend.

I remember Dennis as a very pleasant guy.  You just had to like him.  He and I drove to Denton in 1969 for a speech class debate.  We won 3rd Place.  I recall singing to the car radio as we drove.  I also remember Dennis as the announcer at a senior class basketball game.  A fine lad, who is missed.
