Amelia "Micki" Barker Carpenter

i am so excited that I have published my first book! THE CREATOR'S TEMPORARY - ON ASSIGNMENT through Christian Faith Publishers. It is about Devine assignments in my life, all true events. It is available on Amazon and in major book stores. As most of you know by my many address changes, I have moved a lot of times, ( I heard once that you may have figured I was dead, but No! Here I am still going strong.) it is because God put me in the most amazing places to use me in His works. Now Charles and I are back home in Mt. Holly, NC so I would love to catch up with all of my friends at Ashley. Many of you remember me from our classes but a lot of you remember me as the girl in the snack bar serving sandwiches during all three of my years at Ashley.

I've lived in NC, SC & Florida and have done a lot of traveling worldwide. I've been divorced, widowed and presently married for more than 32 years to Charles Carpenter. I've devoted a lot of time to writing, I have been published by Noble House, Union Gospel Press, my own newspaper column for awhile and now my first book by Christin Faith Publishing. I have had one gospel song recorded: "Like a thief in the night" by the late Paul Vandyke. I still love playing the piano, organ or accordion.

When I started to Ashley high school in 1957 (sophomore year) I wanted long lunch periods so I volunteered for the "Snack Bar" and worked there for all 3 years, so maybe you remember me? I wanted to spend time with the Seniors when I was a Sophomore and with the Sophomores, when I was a Senior - so I stayed behind that little window and took care of my friends at school I loved the Student Center and listening to Fats Domino doing SEA CRUISE! When they introduced Business Machines for classes, I was elated and it has paid off during my careers since then.
