Thomas Watson, Jr.

I left AHS to attend the Asheville School for last 2 years of high school.I missed my classmates, but the experience probably saved me academically. To Chapel Hill 1959-63, and to Wharton School, Univ of Penn 1963-65. Home in 1965, joined Watson Insurance, here ever since. Married to Nova Tatham Watson. We spend most of our time at our home on Lake Wylie, since I can't get Nova to spend much time on New Hope Rd. We're having fun with children, grandchildren, work and play. We've truly been blessed.

Funny, but I remember little about that one year at Ashley. My strongest memory if of Mr. Fouts, algebra, the failue of whose course inspired my dad to hustle my bones up to Asheville School three days after he saw my report card. That boarding school experience was very good for me, but I sure did miss my old friends.
