After graduation I went to Gaston College and tried the continuing education thing and just didnt have the heart for it. I went in to the vocational school and completed my Diploma for Machinist. I was working at Threads and decided it was time to get out. I joined the Navy in 1990 and went to boot camp in San Diego. My first duty station was in Siganolla, Sicily for 2 years. I then got orders to the USS Yorktown (CG-48) and was onboard for 2 1/2 years. I re-enlisted onboard Yorktown and went to FT. Gordon for Satcom C-school. After Ft. Gordon I was stationed in Bahrain (an island off the cost of Saudi Arabia) for 1 year. I than got orders to Hawaii and had the best time in my life there for 3 1/2 years. I got out of the Navy in 1999 and got a job in Atlanta and have been there ever since. I am married to a beautiful Hawaiian woman and we have 3 great kids together. Working of a large telecommunications company where I am an instructor and spend about 40 weeks a year traveling the country teaching the technicians how to maintain our network and the associated equipment. That is it in a nutshell.
