70th Birthday Party

Thanks to Dave Hart a 70th Birthday Party for our class is being planned for September 23, 2016. A room at Grand River Cellars has been reserved from 1PM to 5PM.  There won’t be any charge, nothing formal, just a casual gathering.  Each classmate will be responsible for wine or food they might want other than the light snacks provided by the class.  The class will also provide a cake for dessert.

This is also the weekend of the Geneva Grape Jamboree, so be sure to take in the festivities while you are in town.

We would like to see everyone.  Please send an email to Dave (haved@roadrunner.com) to confirm you will be able to attend.

Again, thanks to Dave for making this happen. Happy Birthday to all turning 70 this year.

The following appeared in the Ashtabula Star Beacon on Sunday August 17th.  A special thanks to Sara Jane for making it happen.

Members of the Geneva High School Class of 1964 use a playground slide as the backdrop for their youthful 50-year reunion at the VFW Park on New London Rd in Geneva Township.

Over 50 alumni from the Geneva High School Class of 1964 recently gathered for a weekend of local activities to celebrate their 50-year reunion.  On Friday night, July 25, classmates mingled at a reception at South River Vineyard in Harpersfield.  On Saturday, July 26, classmates got reacquainted at a cookout at the VFW Park in Geneva Township.  Highlight of the cookout was freshly roasted pulled pork prepared by classmate Bob Barnes in the Southern tradition.  Goodbyes were said over a breakfast buffet at Scribblers Coffee Co. in Geneva on Sunday morning, July 27.  Reunion chairman, Mary Kay Snyder noted that 80 alumni, friends and relatives attended the weekend's activities.

Thanks to Dave Hart we can now identify everyone on the slide picture.
