I worked at Principal Financial Group from 1975 until I got laid off in 2007. Yeah, after 32 years. I'm still a little bitter! After PFG I worked at American Enterprise until I got laid off from there, and a few other places before I ended up at TRISTAR in Des Moines in 2013. I held several positions there before I retired in 2021. Now I have a part time job at the City of Ames Community Center, working 2 mornings a week, and pick up 6 week temp jobs here and there. Need to make money so I can do what I really want to do in retirement...travel!

Too many memories to list! Cheerleading in the mud and the rain at Dows, going to music contests and all the fun we had at those, working on the school plays. Dragging main in Janet mom's convertible, with the top down and the heater on full blast! I thought Mass Media with Mrs. Graham was the best class ever! Making our own senior lounge...and I think it was quite cozy!!
