I got my Bachelors degree in Music with emphasis on percussion performance. I graduated San Jose State University on 2004. During that time, I played a lot and did some traveling with a music percussion group some of my colleagues and I started called Different Strokes Percussion, or DSP. We taught and traveled to Taipei, Taiwan and were featured in a concert with the Sirens Wind Band in their National Concert Hall.
I got back into into playing drum set when I joined a 10 piece hip hop group from the Bay Area. This is where I met my husband, Charlie. He plays guitar. We played in this group together for about 2 years.
Since then, I have got into the field of finance a bit, when I worked as a sales agent for a finance company to make extra money when teaching was slow or unpredictable.
Currently, I teach private drum lessons, work as a youth director at a Lutheran Church, play drums and/or percussion in any musical theater production I can, and play with my husband in a cover band. Cheers!
